Development
Development Stack
unRevealed has been in development since early 2021.
Development requirements include but are not limited to 3d modeling software, gaming engine, script editors, graphic editors, servers, testing platforms, blockchain services, .NET integrations, and more.
Graphics
Adobe Illustrator | Inkscape
A lot of the work begins in Illustrator with basic drawings and designs. Use as a sketchpad of sorts has allowed easy transition to both into the rest of the Adobe suite if necessary or to Blender for 3d modeling. Other assets have been developed in Inkscape as well.
Adobe Photoshop
Much the graphic production is refined in Photoshop and exported for use-cases in 3d assets, textures, canvases, or marketing material.
Blender
Blender is used for in-game assets, 3d models, and animations. Whether they be original or prefab - models are refined and completed within Blender before use in the gaming engine.
Unity
Vroom... After exploring numerous gaming engines, we decided to use the Unity Engine for unRevealed. The versatility and depth of function it offers us is perfect for our project.
Pipeline
Unity offers the option to utilize a few render pipelines. Because our focus is initially aimed at desktop use but we want to ensure that in the future we will be able to provide cross-platform support if necessary, we've opted to utilize the Universal Render Pipeline.
In future releases - we will explore incorporating WebGL possibilities into the unRevealed platform.
3rd Party Support
We can't build an entire blockchain backed world all on our own - and Unity has an incredible community of support.
Organization
We use multiple applications to keep us organized and delivering our goals on time!
GitHub
We organize our project files using GitHub. It allows us to keep accurate track of edits, a record changelog, and our eventual publishing to the public of key security and privacy code to ensure the unRevealed community's safety and privacy is secure.
GitBook
GitBook is used not only for this White Paper, but also for numerous internal documents for game strategy, design, code, and more. Our game wiki will be published via GitHub in the months before Beta release.
Discord
Discord is used as the team's primary method of communication. It gives us the ability to track communications as well as incorporate the unRevealed public community in the project.
Public unRevealed Discord channels will be released according to the roadmap schedule.
